  7.     When Patrick Bergin, 36, walked into the office, says
  8. director Bob Rafelson only half jokingly, "everybody almost
  9. fainted because he was so good-looking." Searching for someone
  10. to play the 19th century explorer Sir Richard Burton in
  11. Mountains of the Moon, Rafelson promptly signed the obscure
  12. Irish actor, and now thinks he's on the brink of stardom. Funny,
  13. he's said that about other unknowns he's cast, like Sally Field,
  14. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jack Nicholson.
